ENV-AIRFLOW
Digital Airflow Sensor Probe for data centers, server rooms & racks

Digital measurement of air velocity, not a mechanical present/absent trigger.
Measures air speeds up to 3 m/s (6.7 mph / 10.8 km/h).
Reports actual velocity to the base unit, so thresholds can be set in software.
Probe design for mounting inside racks, ducts and containment aisles.
Powered by the base unit — no local power, no batteries.
Plug & play — SNMP, Modbus TCP, BACnet IP & MQTT ready.

ENV-AIRFLOW digital airflow sensor

Digital, Not Analog

Most airflow sensors for data centers report only whether air is moving, from a mechanical trigger. This one reports how fast.

Measures Air Velocity

Air speeds up to 3 m/s, equivalent to 6.7 mph or 10.8 km/h, reported in meters per second to the base unit.

Where It Is Used

Rack intake and exhaust, containment aisles, raised floor tiles and CRAC discharge — anywhere cooling depends on air actually moving.

Catch Degradation, Not Just Failure

A velocity reading trends downward as filters load and fans wear. A present/absent trigger only fires once the airflow has already stopped.

Mounting & Placement

Probe orientation, distance from the air source and why a consistent baseline matters more than an absolute figure.

How It Works

Connects to the base unit over standard network cable. The base unit is standalone, with no PC or software required.

Flexible Integration

Readings and alerts over SNMP GET & TRAPS, Modbus TCP, BACnet IP and MQTT for industrial IoT platforms.
